Good day escapists.

I am looking to purchase a new Charger for my laptop because my current one is a piece of shit. How much do these usually run for, and what store can i find a good selection at?

No, I'm not looking online, because I'm leaving to run to the store here soon to buy one.

Target?
Best buy?
Radioshack?

I'm not to sure.

Can I get some help? Instead of just looking at the thread and leaving. It's rather pointless you enter a thread, and know what its about without helping the OP. Don't enter it if you're not going to give a little help.

Yeah, I'm talking to you 6 viewers.

Well, I would help but one issue...

You are not shopping online and I tend to not set foot in those stores so, I can't help you.

Those 6 people might have thought the same.

If online, I have no doubt that I could help.

(And... uh... shamelessly bumping your own thread when you are the only poster is kinda... frowned upon, shall we say.)

I'd recommend Best Buy, but I can't quite remember how much they cost.
I'm hoping somewhere in the $20-40 range. I don't think they cost much. Unless I am mistaken.

Let me take a peak at Bestbuys website.

Chill, some people come in to a thread curious what it's about (your topic is a little vague) and find they have nothing to add to the conversation.

Iirc, charagers run about $100. Your best bet is going to be either an electronics store or online.

It would help we knew the kinda laptop. However, last time I went and looked for one, it was universal and it was over 100 dollars (US) because it charged everything.

Depends. I broke my charger for a toshiba and a replacement was $160. I think for Macs its cheaper.

I got a new one for my Inspiron 1525 for $15 from Amazon. But being that it's Dell, it decided to start being selective about how it charges. Thankfully my old one works again.

But don't worry, they aren't too expensive.

I strongly recommend buying a replacement charger from Dell, it'll cost you more but the cheaper the equipment you buy the more likely it is to fail. It'll be somewhere around $50 - 60 for the charger, the part that plugs into the wall is like another $50 so keep the one you already have.

This guy who's computer I work on, one of his kids bought a cheap charger for his laptop a few months ago and I said something along the lines of "You'll be lucky if it doesn't blow up while you're using it." and less than a week later he called me and told me that it had in fact exploded while it was plugged in. He went and bought the right charger after that.
