Okay. Last thread on this, promise. I've narrowed it down to two choices.

The Samsung SF310.

Samsung SF310 13.3 inch LED notebook (Intel Core i5-460M 2.53GHz,

4Gb, 320Gb, DVDRW, WLAN, Webcam, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) - Ivory

And the

Samsung R780

Samsung R780 17.3 inch Notebook (Intel Core i5-480M Processor, 2.66GHz,

4GB RAM, 640GB HD, DVDSMDL, WLAN, BT, Webcam, Windows 7 Home Premium) - Red

So, people, make your choice. :D

I hate doing gaming or serious work on laptops, mainly due to the small screen space. So yeah. If I had to, I'd take the R780 any day. Also, 320gb hard drive space... that just ain't enough :p

Sure all the specs are fine and dandy but the difference between a 13 inch screen and a 17 inch screen are massive. Without even giving a thought about the specs I can assure you that if you do not make the choice of screen size by personal preference you will regret it.

Get two laptops of a screen size you like, then worry about which specs are better.

Samsung R780. Certainly. Out of those few specifications, all the points go for that one.

And as for the hard disk space, you can always get an external USB hard disk. That way you can get 1 TB more, easily. And they're cheap as well nowadays.

If you're going for a PC replacement, get the 17.3 inch. If you're going to have to move the thing around a bit for travel, size and weight become much more important (especially in airports). I have a dedicated desktop so the idea of a 17 inch laptop is just silly.

Even if you want a desktop replacement, since the specs are so similar, you could always just hook the laptop up to a bigger screen at home.

Hmm. Tough choice, bigger screen would be better for gaming, and movies, and youtube, but carrying it around might be a problem. Really wish i could try them both out :O

Without seeing prices, I would definitely go with the 17.3 inch screen. I love big screens with powerful internals. Hence why my uberlappy here could play Crysis on high in '08 and still runs strong being a few years old.

I would never buy a laptop again, but this is for you so let me think... Well I had a 17 inch screen and the laptop was so big and clunky that carrying it around was a pain in the ass. So a 17 inch laptop is not recommended since the reason you buy a laptop is carry-ability( made up term).

Then again the 13 inch has a single core processor and no idea how good its videocard is(which unless you aren't going to game [which you shouldn't on a laptop] matters a ton).

I wouldn't buy either of them.

Sorry mate but I can't recommend one for you since I hate laptops and am to lazy to research for you. Don't go with the 17 inch, if you have to pick one or the other get the 13.

Hmmm. After days of looking them up those looked the most viable, the SF310 Comes with i5 Processor aaswell, Not i3 like i thought, Surely thats enough to handle Steam games, right?
