Hi there
This September I'm going to start my studies in economics on university and I'm looking for a new laptop which I can use for both my studies and my hobby for playing games. I've got a general idea for what I need for my studies and my budget isn't fixed yet, but I'm thinking about 1000 to 1200 euros. Any help would be welcome :)

Does it have to be a laptop? If so, I guess the Alienware 14, for being small and packing a punch.

Could also go with the Series 7 Samsung laptops for nice reliable stuff, while still being more than enough for most games.

As above poster, both those laptops are good.

Though it might be worth seriously considering getting a cheap notebook or tablet, then spending the rest (~1000 Euro) on a dedicated gaming desktop. As a rule of thumb, a desktop will always perform better than a laptop with similar specs.

Of course it's up to you. If you just want one device then go for the laptop. I had a gaming laptop myself for a while, and it did it's job admirably!
