Laptop help.

My little cousins laptop is freezing on the windows log in screen, I think it is a hard drive problem from past experiences but I want to ask people who know a lot about computers for some help. He says at the welcome to windows screen it will freeze up, he can still move his mouse around but when this happens he cannot turn it off by holding the power button so he is forced to take the battery out. I believe he has a HP Mini 1010NR running on XP.

Don't buy a Mac. They're expensive pointless PC's which are only necessary for design/creative work.

Sounds like the hard drive to me.

Thanks, that's what I thought. And I would rather pull my teeth out with a pair of pliers without any anesthesia than purchase a mac
