So right about now I am financing my way to a new laptop (assuming I can get a job) for about upper 600 dollars (USD). I was at new egg like a good little nerd and came across this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834114638
Seems like it will get the job done for a fairly decent price. But there is one problem. As a laptop noob I don't know anything about laptop GPUs (especially ATI's). I have never bought from ATI before, and pretty much everything I know about GPUs is mostly from an nVidia standpoint.

So can anyone tell me how this would compare (if it does) to a nvidia (desktop) card?

Also, because I'm a thrifty little guy I decided to check how much it would cost on Best Buy, and this is what I found:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9172851&type=product&id=1218044029604
I might be going crazy, but it almost looks like BEST BUY has a better deal than NewEgg?

Once again, it has been a while since I messed around with building a PC so I just want someone to hold my hand while crossing the purchasing street. Any help/advice you can muster to help me?

With regards to replacing the graphics card, depending on the model of course, it can be very difficult to achieve. Some manufacturers will void warrantees if any "unnecessary" mods are made. Just something to keep in mind.
