So, I'm getting close to graduating and my grandma asked me to find a laptop to buy for college. Now, I enjoy my video games and internet but as far as knowledge about what I am looking for, I'm clueless. So, I need to find a laptop now. What I'm looking for is something high speed, easy to run programs for games and for school work, preferable and Apple (since I've spent 4 years using a school MacBook) a LOT of memory, reliability, good warranty, and under $2,000.
And, for some sort of discussion here, what computer are you currently using and is it good?
My Macbook is alright but it the long run it breaks apart on me way to easily and is sower than hell after a certain time of night.

I use a Lenovo. It's ugly as sin and looks like something from the 90s, but it has fantastic cooling, and the case is strong as hell. If you're looking for a computer to be really mobile with, this one is great. Can take a beating and won't heat up on your lap. Plus if you get a custom build from their website you can get a pretty powerful one. I got mine about 3 years ago with what I thought were only slightly above average specs and it still plays every game I download pretty decently. I've never had a single problem with the hardware, it works great.

I use one of these, but in a leather case with a built-in keyboard.

Couldn't recommend it more...does an awesome job for all my uni stuff and can play Halo when need be.

I wouldn't buy a MacBook if you want to play games...it'll cost about 4x as much and have a comparitively miniscule selection. And if you're gonna boot into windows to do it, you might as well have a windows laptop.
