Laptop troubles

Recently, my laptop screen has begun to go completely blank white a white screen, and the only way I've been able to fix it is to completely reboot my laptop. Occasionally, just pressing ctrl+alt+del will fix the problem instantly for some reason. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem.

Might be your display drivers. Try updating them.

Check the manufacturer's website and see if there's anything mentioned about a recall on your model. There were a couple of chipsets released that had issues with their video not working properly.

How do I update them? I do system updates whenever available, unless things like that are separate.
