I want to buy a gaming lap top, one where I can play stuff like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky and F.E.A.R. smoothly. I'm not saying they have to run smoothly with all the graphics options at their highest levels, just at maybe half their levels. I also want this computer to be affordable. Affordable to me is like 1,500 and down. The cheaper the better.

The specs I prefer would be about 4 gigs of ram, and at least 250 gigs of hard drive.

Anyone have any suggestions?

1500 what? Pounds, American Dollars, Australian Dollars?, Euros? It'd help if people knew what country you are in for starters as I have no doubt you'd not want to spend hundreds on p+p from somewhere else.

Laptops arent ment for gaming. The awkward position the laptop forces you to take while gaming is unhealthy and uncomfy ( unless you have a docking station with a seperate keyboard ) and no laptop can deal effieciently with the heat the high-grade gfx cards are producing. I have a modded Vostro 1500 with 8600GT and it still burns while playing Fallout 3 on full details. Be warned.

If you are in america, your'e welcome. Best Buy had this on sale for $1050 exactly a couple weeks ago. I bought one, on both of those games you will be able to go the MAX. You will still have a couple hundred dollars left over. Yes you can even throw in some crysis nice and smoothly.

9800m GTS with 1GB! of ram.
4 Gigs of system ram
Dual Core Processor.
1920x1200 native resolution

You can't go wrong for barely over $1,000.

Sorry if I sound like a salesman, but just look at the customer ratings, 4.8 out of 5. If you try to find any other laptop with the same specs, the price will be $1500.

Circuit City is liquidating, look up a store near you.
A friend of mine picked up a laptop with near the specs you're looking at for around $1,000 dollars.
