Why is she wearing a hood while talking to a psychologist?

To try and be mysterious until the 'big reveal'. Either that or she became a chav between games and has her hood up whenever she isn't drinking cheap cider and spitting on things. It would have worked just as well if they had not shown her at all or showed her out of focus and from behind. Especially since anyone who didn't watch the announcement live knows what the reveal is by the name of the video...

I'm glad that Lara didn't come away from her first adventure completely fine. The stuff she went through (falling into a pool of blood and body parts, the constant fighting and killing) and the magical stuff she saw should cause a normal girl like her to have some real mental issues.

I'm more than a little disappointed that she just shoots that one guy in the head. That doesn't seem like something Lara, or at least Lara this early in her life, would do. Granted, she was slaughtering people left and right in the first game, but here...I don't know, I think I need more context for me to understand why she did something so out of character for her.

I REALLY am not looking forward to more whining and moaning about the sequel not making record sales in the first week of release. Or read their complaints for another year about how terrible an idea it was to make another one cause they lost so much money and then watch them do a silly about-face when their magic line is crossed and they can announce "hurdy hurr is our mos bes-selling game...whoda thunk games keep seling and making money over long turm, hurrdy hurr".

Nyeh, I know it isn't a popular opinion, but I didn't really like the reboot all that much. Based on pure nostalgia factor, give me a remake of Last Revelation. Stupid Werner accent and all.

Last year's game was the first triple-A game I've enjoyed in quite a long time (indeed, I haven't played a decent AAA game since), so I'm pretty excited about this.

I feel like I'm the only person who quite likes the title, but oh well.

i think the title should indicate that they take laras progress slowly. the first one was just how she survives and solves her first mystery. in this one i think they want to build her up slowly that she gains more experience first before she is a full tomb raider.
never the less, i enjoy this trailer and i like how she is in therapy.

"We become who we're meant to be"? They really are phoning it in with that story set-up. Then again, "destiny" seems to be the hip thing these days [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/the-big-picture/8978-Destined-for-Disappointment-Part-1]. Still, it's hard to see Lara as being destined for anything. Is it supposed to be a 4th Wall thing where "of course she's destined, otherwise it wouldn't be a 'Tomb Raider' game". Then again I stopped caring about Tomb Raider somewhere around the third game (though Chronicles and Anthology weren't too bad). Still, I was willing to just not care about this game, maybe take a jab at the god awful title, but then Lara had to drop that bombshell. Nothing says you've stopped giving a fuck like saying "Fuck it, she raids tombs because 'Destiny'. Now let's wrap this up and go to lunch."
