Wow,the first thing I noticed was that they used part of the RE 5 interface in the left hand corner, and then they had another health bar in the upper right hand corner. FFS can't these marketers learn how to make an interface?

You don't have to explain them. You just have to be confused/intrigued enough to make an article about the idiosyncracies of the advert that will give Pringles their free advertising on your website. This is how viral "confusion" advertising works, and these ads obviously serve their function well in this regard.

NOw I've got the fever for the flavour of the pringles. Still, that ad could only have been more wierd if there had been a room with pyramid head and a nurse getting it on.

Of course, it's all so obvious now. If the forces behind Silent Hill would spawn the likes of Pyramidhead, naturally they would be defeated by cylinders.

this is amateur - no clip anywhere in the world would run 80 seconds

not to mention all that filler with her tossing all the gadgets - they'd never waste that much time in a TV commercial. and i don't think you'll ever, EVER see a Silent Hill/Tomb Raider/Pringles ad campaign until someone writes a Silent Hill/Tomb Raider crossover vehicle and gets Pringles in on the marketing. Even then there'd be a whole "you too can enter the Silent Hill/Tomb Raider/Pringles Weekend In Hell(tm) Getaway Giveaway Sweepstakes!" or some other crap

But the trailer is this weird mashup of Resi4/5 HUD, Metal Gear Solid Health bar and a minimap... then they throw it into pseudo-silent hill... It just too confusing to follow
