Three words: AK74 in 1963. Seriously, out of all the weapons in Black Ops that piss me off, none of them piss me off as much as the fact that they included a gun with the year it was made, which was later than even the latest level in the game, in the name of the gun. I mean, how did the regulars get those? Did Russia have a time machine? Well, at this point, it wouldn't surprise me if they did have a time machine in the COD universe... but still, it stands, there were no AK74s in 1963.
no kidding-every other gun they used in BLops came later than 1968: examples other than AK-74 include-
AUG-designed 1977
PSG1- designed post 1972-after the Munich olympics hostage incident
Mac11- designed 1972
Spectre- designed 1980s
Kiparis-1972
G11- 1980s
SPAS 12- 1979
Wa2000-1970s

i guess it's just the designer's way of making sure that the guns available to the player dun feel like utter crap, so they had to import some more exotic firearms from beyond that time period.

oh also, red dot sights-those only came out in 1973.

Kirby's Squeack squad.

Plot: Kirby gets his cake stolen, Kirby does after the mice to kick @$$ and get his cake. That is it.

Hole: Why didn't he just go and BUY ANOTHER PIECE OF CAKE?

Mine is, of course, Fallout 3 related.

How the Enclave Colonel managed to pop back to life after being irradiated to death during the plot of Fallout 3. Namely, Liam Neeson barbecues him with his pathetically stupid suicide attack in a vain attempt to...uh...stop the bad guys from doing....something that's never explained.

I've heard incredibly weak rationalizations like "Oh, the Colonel used Super Rad-Away, if you watch closely, he does something to himself before he falls over.", but I'm not buying it.
At best, you've just given the "villain" an incredibly plot-convenient escape mechanism in a story full of retarded plot devices. At worst, it's a just a plot hole that's never explained.

Game of the Year material right there!

For one thing, every part of Modern Warfare 2, mainly: why could no one see Makarov on the security camera? Also, if an American shoots up an airport, does that mean that the entirety of the United States is to blame?

In Fallout 3,[spoiler/] how can the Brotherhood of Steel NOT figure out super mutants came from vault 87? figured the massive amounts of super mutants , radiation, and super mutants, you'd think someone would notice. And while I'm ranting, how the hell did they get to downtown DC? That's a long walk, and a crapload of mutants. Again, you'd think someone would friggin notice.[/spoiler]

Princess Peach was Baby Bowser's mother? What was up with that?
Nope, Bowser just told him that so he would kidnap her.
So he's running out of reasons to kidnap her, and so he just made on up?
That's what decades of kidnapping the same princess will do to you. I mean, look at Ganondorf in Legend of Zelda. I think he gave up on coming up with reasons awhile ago.
I dunno. If you actually look at each separate Zelda story, the reason why Zelda gets taken prisoner is actually varied. In Twilight Princess, she's basically just a PoW. In Wind Waker... well, that one is actually rather complicated. Ocarina of Time he actually fails to kidnap her (Only gets her briefly when she is young, in trying to get the Triforce of Wisdom).

In all honesty, I'd say Zelda games are pretty good about this kind of thing.
I agree wholeheartedly. Believe me, I adore the Legend of Zelda games. What I said was primarily for comedic effect pointing out how many times the same villain had kidnapped the same princess.

I always wonder WHY Bowser always wants to kidnap Peach. ***** does nothing for him, and he just keeps her in a chamber behind a pit of lava anyway, so I dunno what's going on with the guy.

Come to think of that...Peach is the monarch and leader of mushroom kingdom! Surely people would be specifically hired to protect her from kidnapping attempts, especially after it's happened 5 or 6 times.

Maybe she just WANTS to get kidnapped. Possibly she and Bowser have some kind of affair going on that we're never specifically told about.

Metal Arms. I know they were gearing for a sequel, but what was Dr. Excavolt planning? Why was Glitch sent to the surface? Why did Hosed and Screwed have to die?...Actually, probably cos of their names.

Also, Haze; why did nobody do anything about Mantel? Like, teh U.N or something similar. A corporation invading a country isn't exactly subtle.
