Dragon Age II. I had to basically ignore the gameplay component entirely, and skip through the recurring dungeons as fast as possible, but the characters and narrative really grew on me. I think it's good in what it adds to the series, and the situation it sets up for the future, but the actual gameplay and combat aspect is best skipped through, or else it becomes tedious, repetitive and painful to play.
I played on casual difficulty, not because the game was hard on the highest difficulty, but because it was fucking boring and tiresome and felt like it was deliberately wasting my time. All I wanted to do was open up new missions and unlock more dialogue, give Hawke more witty remarks, and hear what my companions would say next. In fact, I liked the companions and all the different dialogue possibilities that were available that I played it all the way through twice just to see what would happen if I brought different companions along. Sometimes I was rewarded with moments of utter brilliance that I never would have seen otherwise.
So, in short:
Gameplay: 4/10
Story: 7/10
Writing and Characters: 8/10
Graphics: 3/10
Overall: 5.5/10
