Last Game You Got Stuck To?

I started playing Mass Effect for the first time last night (yeah yeah I know but I only got my first Xbox 360 in November!) and I literally found that it was impossible for me to stop playing. I even debated skipping lunch today so I could get a few more minutes in before I went out and foregoing sleep tonight...it's not often a game grips me like this, and I'm quite honestly surprised. (I believe the last game was my original play-through of Freelancer on my old PC.)

Escapist, what was the last game you got stuck to like that time Sticky the stick insect got stuck on a sticky bun?
Do you regularly get stuck to games?
Do you find that replaying a sticky game lessens its stickiness, or increases it?

Dragon Age: Origins was definitely the game I got stuck to. I've beaten it quite a few times and can still go back and have a massive amount of fun.

Before that, no big surprise, it was Mass Effect.

Damn Bioware for sucking away my life.

I don't generally get stuck to a game, so to speak, I tend to play for a period of time and then play something else and then go back to the other game later.

I'd also say it depends on the game to decide how much it'd take to make it wear thin on me. Games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect offer different classes and decisions to make to change up the game and thus offers a different experience on playthroughs.

Dragon Quest 9, much to my great surprise. I've played almost nothing BUT it since buying the game.

I played Mass Effect 2 religiously for almost the past year. I really just beat it over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. I loved the story and the characters so much.

Dragon Age and Fallout: New Vegas to a much lesser extent recently. I do now some friends that play NV everyday and make new characters a couple times a week because they just feel like it.

Right now, Final Fantasy 6. I still have to finish Darksiders, I have to start Call of Pripyat, and until last week I played L4D2 like a madman, but right now FF6 is constantly calling me.

I wanna know what happens next, I gotta get Gau's Rages, I gotta train everyone's Espers, I need to level before I advance, where the fuck is Locke, what can all these new enemies do, what happened in the World of Ruin, aaaaaah!

Which is weird as I started it twice before and always stopped an hour in because I couldn't wrap my head around the turn-based combat and kept dying and then I got lost. I was a huge idiot.

I'm doing that with persona 4. who would have thought that a game, where you go to school, work, join clubs, hang with friends and very occasionally fight monsters would be so addictive?

AoE3.
EVERY bloody time I play it for half an hour, I get obsessed and play the entire campaign, get a home city to level 30, play multiplayer, then got bored at the easiness of people.

red dead redemption was the last one, which i got for christmas THIS year.
However, throughout 2010, i have become hooked to Assassin's creed brotherhood, both Mass Effect games and Dragon Age Origins

Dragon Age Awakening. I didn't really enjoy the original game that much, but for some reason this expansion is addictive. I like the concept of preparing for an invasion.

Demon's Souls. My summervacaction started. I played some borderlands. Then Demon's Souls came in the mail and...my vacation ended. It's all a blur.

I have lost much time to the Legend of Zelda series but to date Ocarina of Time is the only one still capable of actually stealing days from me.

inFamous right now as my most current game.

Before that it was Persona 3 Fes.

Before that it was Star Wars Battlefront 2 (both this and P3Fes pretty much ate up all my PS2 that was taken up by playing new games and Soul Calibur III.

Before that, Spyro the Dragon (first one, cause that was timeless).

And of course any pokemon game too.

EDIT: for nintendo, the above mentioned pokemon games

Custom Robo

Battalion Wars

Pikman (both 1 and 2)

And LoZ: Windwaker (laugh if youw ill, but sailing the sea in that game was timeless.

FFIX. I finished it in about three days. Each disk takes around ten hours on average. I'd call that stuck.

Assassin's Creed 2, unfortunately and fortunately at the same time, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood wasn't as sticky.

Right now I'm completely wedged between the Mass Effect games. As soon as I finish 2 again, I'll be starting 1 with a new character. Infiltrator was awesome, Adept is great, next up will be Soldier or Engineer. Doesn't matter which - I've got time for both, and more :)

I've been addicted to Team Fortress 2 recently. My friend just got it for PC, so he wanted me to play with him and show him good servers and such... and then I wasn't able to stop playing.

Eh. Probably Little King's Story. I'm a sucker for exploration for exploration's sake and LKS just had me thinking what's out there in the game world to find. Quite a lot of stuff, actually.

Books do this routinely for me, but only two video games ever really accomplished it. Pokemon Crystal, for GBA and halo: combat evolved, for xbox.
