The link provided has the most recent Cerberus update thing. But that's not important. What is important is that there will be one final DLC released before ME 3. My question is what your theories are on what that DLC will be. I doubt it will be a character addition as I don't believe there is any room left on the Normandy. It also seems quite late to toss a new one in. I would like to think it will be Reaper focused. Perhaps trying to find physical evidence that the council will accept as proof of the Reaper threat? Or it could have Shepard searching for Prothean tech to use against the Reapers? Thoughts?

Interesting. I've always liked the daily news thing. I think it'll be Shepard bringing something big to Earth, which sets the stage for a Reaper attack.

Hmmmmmmm It would make sense that the next DLC would do something to either bridge the gap to the next Mass Effect or Help make a choice that influences the ME3 Story line. Maybe Not Reaper foucused but maybe Human Foucsed; We know the Reapers are comeing but the DLC could involve ,"Who does Shepard Warn First?" The Council, Alliance? OR Does the DLC involve nothing but Preparations like helping old contacts out of troubles so they can be ready to fight. But I think that the Reapers would send in a few Ships and Soilders to Recon and/or take out value targets; the DLC would be just pushing that assualt back and what you do affects how well the Main Attack will go.

All in all some names for Up comeing Mass Effect DLC I predict are...

"Downfall"
"Preemptive Strike"
"Recon"

Etc...Etc...

I think it'll be Kaiden or Ashley focused just as Lair of the Shadow Broker was Liara focused.
Though I also agree with your guess it'll have something to do with finding a way to combat the Reapers.
Where do you see that it's the final DLC though?

Maybe Shepard unofficially rejoins the alliance or the Alliance party member joins Cerberus or something.

I really can't say for sure apart from the fact that I'm almost completely sure it'll involve Kaiden or Ash.

That a good idea about Shepard trying to reconnect with the Alliance or Citadel, since the paragon and renegade ending of ME 2 have Shepard leave Cerberus to do his own thing. Maybe who he contacts depends on the alignment or who Shepard saved at the end of ME 1?
That would kind of suck for me if they did an Ash or Kaiden focus, I never had any interest in either of them.

Agreed - after the (brief) encounter you have with Kaiden/Ashley in ME2, the character is left open-ended, empty-handed, and under-appreciated. As has been said above, I doubt it will be another recruitment mission, but I'm guessing you're right that they will be featured.

Not to mention that it helps you bridge the gap with the Alliance a bit. Hell! The next DLC might even involve Anderson some more! Or Udina...

IT will probably have something to do with killing things.
and what could possibly give you that impression?

OT: I'm guessing it'll have to do with the first elements of the Reaper invasion.

"Recon"? Give them a little more credit, I mean "Bring down the sky" is a damn good name.

So you go to a military training station, and train by running some simulations against computer opponents, such as Cap the Point, Deathmatch, and Speed Run. If you do all of that you get a cool house on a nearby planet.

I think I will wait to make any speculations until I finish reading Retribution. Dunno if that will really help much, but it could offer some more valid ideas.

That would be cool. They were kinda criminally under-used in ME2.

Whatever it is, it'll probably focus on setting the stage for Mass Effect 3. I'm also going to get it, because I have every other DLC and I don't want to miss anything.

FUCK

The whole reason I started playing Mass Effect 2 again was because I thought all the DLC was released, but they're making another? Fucking hell.

I really can't guess where this piece of DLC will lead as there are any number of things they can do. But at least CDN will give us an idea of when the next DLC will be released. When they start up again that means we're a week away but still, there's no deffinite time given *cry*

Possibly a multiplayer addition? Lol.

My bet is on pre-invasion preparations.

I do hope its the promised bridge between ME2 and 3, and if they've got their act together it should come out just a month or so before ME3. I've still not bought Shadow Broker as I'm waiting to see what else they come up with.
