Same as most here, I won't give this a try until I start seeing the user reviews come out. I started doubting Total War games when Empire came out, and thanks to Rome 2 I will never preorder/buy one of their games at release ever again. That said, I am glad they are sticking to older time periods as I never thought they really did a good job of matching gunpowder units with any units using older technology.

Well, I'm excited for it. I didn't get Rome II, so I've got no bad blood with Creative Assembly, and it sounds interesting. I'd really like it if they did FMV for the little cutscenes, but that's just because No Right Answer put that thought in my head.

Cautiously optimistic. I'd love to see this game do well, but Rome II has me nervous. At the end of the day, if Atilla ends up being horrible, it's not a huge loss - I still have Medieval II, Empire and Shogun II.

So it's Barbarian Invasion 2 eh? I was hoping for another Medieval game but largely because I've been reading so much Medieval fiction lately - looking forward to what they come up with.
