Few points:
1. What the fuck is he wearing?
The bloke on the cover? British 1902 pattern service dress, with 1908 equipment, small box respirator, and the 1917 pattern groundsheet/raincape. He does have a non-regulation holster, and is carrying (presumably captured) German weapons (broomhandle mauser and MP18). He would get a stern talking to at any re-enactment event where I was in command, for proliferation of non regulation and captured equipment, but it's not actually inaccurate.

2. He looks like a modern bodybuilder, not a typical period soldier.
Agreed - though there were beefy chaps, they tended to be beefier in a different way (look at compare Jack Johnson and Tyson Fury)[/quote]

3. They are gonna shoehorn in Standard FPS guns™, aren't they? *Sigh.*
Judging by the MP18 (a very rare weapon at the time) on the cover, I feel your fear.

4. The nature of WWI combat makes it more suited for slower paced story driven game. Maybe even an RPG? Fast paced multiplayer FPS seems like a waste. It will just play like any modern FPS with a different skin.
Seems like they are focusing on the fastest paced aspects, which is fair enough - WWII shooters tend not to focus on Monte Casino, for example. All wars have their fast paced moments, even WWI.

5. I think I saw a dude running and shooting a Lewis gun in the trailer. Fuck you.
That was pretty dumb; along with the speed of tanks (which, in reality, was a max 4mph), and the speed and maneuverability of the 'planes (seriously, they would have lost their wing's rotating that quickly)
