I'm beginning to think that the more we discuss Jack Thompson (wink wink @ GamePolitics), the less likely he is to go away. And the thing is, he just continues to come up with the most imprecise, useless attacks on the industry, without really thinking before biting. And what is it getting him?
Well, more attention. And for what, you ask?

Ok, sure it's funny and inane and silly, and it's great to see Jack Thompson struggling for breath under the weight of his own misplaced convictions. But: It's. Not. Really. NEWS. In fact, it's the opposite, it's attention whoring, a way for him to stay afloat and continue to try and appeal to people who have no real knowledge of gaming. He dives for the coverage, he flames up blogs with incendiarily desperate posting, he is totally irrelevant and is terrified you might realize that.
So my appeal to you, oh game journalists, is, no matter how much [http://gamepolitics.com/category/jack-thompson/] fun you're having with JT, be responsible and just let it go so we can talk about issues that actually matter.
You know, like Halo 3.
Just kidding.
