Life has no purpose. Stop looking for one and enjoy yourself.
But... then wouldn't that make the point of life enjoying life?

"Anything sounds profound, when displayed quotes"

Ya I was feeling bored and spiteful after reading this thread, sorry.
Honestly the thought that there could even be universal wisdoms, means whoever is thinking that isn't wise :/

- That realization is what got me all spiteful, the application to (near) everything in this thread is what made me bored.

Don't let others decide your decisions; think for yourself and don't assume all that's told a truth.
"it just is...", "because...well i just think that way", "i don't really know why.." and "because i've been told so" are NO reasons to stand for an opinion.

Know why you stand, or don't stand at all

Don't get involved in a friends romantic life. I recently helped a girl I work with move out from an abusive boyfriend. She just moved back in just 1 week later. It's a waste of your time, and she is always gunna go back to him anyway.

"You're a gentleman," they used to say to him. "You shouldn't have gone murdering people with a hatchet; that's no occupation for a gentleman."

- Fyodor Dostoevsky, Crime and Punishment

"Inventors and geniuses have almost always been looked on as no better than fools at the beginning of their career, and very frequently at the end of it also."

"Pass by us, and forgive us our happiness."

- Dostoevsky, The Idiot

". . . The world is not to be divided into sheep and goats. Not all things are black nor all things white. It is a fundamental of taxonomy that nature rarely deals with discrete categories. Only the human mind invents categories and tries to force facts into separated pigeon-holes. The living world is a continuum in each and every one of its aspects. . . ."

- Alfred Kinsey

"No documents, no person."

- Mikhail Bulgakov, The Master and Margarita

"When a man sits with a pretty girl for an hour, it seems like a minute. But let him sit on a hot stove for a minute and it's longer than any hour. That's relativity."

- Albert Einstein

"Nothing is more repugnant to me than brotherly feelings grounded in the common baseness people see in one another."

- Milan Kundera, The Joke

"In the sunset of dissolution, everything is illuminated by the aura of nostalgia."

- Milan Kundera, The Unbearable Lightness of Being

Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese.
The earlier you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.

Have you ever wondered which hurts the most: saying something and wishing you had not, or saying nothing, and wishing you had?
