So I just tried to leave a comment on an escapist video only to have a box pop up asking me to log into facebook. Since I don't have a facebook account I wasn't able to do anything and just closed the window and gave up. That was annoying.
Why is it that we need facebook accounts to leave comments under videos? It seems incredibly weird and random, especially when I already have access to the forums no problem.
Is there a workaround for this or am I simply forbidden from using this particular feature of the site. I'm sure as hell not going to create a facebook account just for this.
And yes I'm aware every video usually gets a thread devoted to it that I can comment in. I just think it makes more sense for me to leave comments under the actual video. It just feels like a weird restriction to have.
Edit: I'm also a member of the pub club if it makes any difference.
