Left 4 dead 2 Australian edition

Ok so I FINALLY got around to atually giving left 4 dead a go, I was orginally put off the by the lack of "story" the fact that its a steam title and focus on co op

But its AWSOME, beautifully done awsome charachters and I love the look and feel, also single player isnt that bad

Though perhaps I should have got left 4 dead 2, but in Australia its been edited, so Im not sure how it compares to the un-edited version, anyone know? plus after the money (and internet..oh god dont get me started on that) I spent of left 4 dead 1 I dont think Ill be getting number 2 anytime soon since its more expensive (and then theres the issue of my ever growing backlog...I was going to get dragon age awkening...hmmm mabye later)

oh and on another note today I finally decided to try S.T.A.L.K.E.R. shadow of chernobyl, its very...bleak and dull to look at but I think thats the point (I know theres a mod for that but I dont want to spend the internet or screw up my game)

Left 4 Dead 2 AU has gore and violence (dismemberment etc.) removed. Everything else remains the same.

All the differences of the Austrailian version are mainly visual gore related. Nothing's different in terms of game mechanics.

Can't u receive the uncensored version as a steam gift from somebody who lives in a censorship free country? Or order a boxed version from abroad?

I think this works in Germany. (Another country where L4D2 is censored)

No, L4D 1 is definitely the superior option out of the two for Aussie gamers.
I don't mean to sound sick, but the blood and gore does really add to the game.
Removing almost all the violent details from L4D 2 does quite severely reduce the "fun."

Glad I got the uncut version, seeing limbs and shit fly eeeeverywhere makes it such a satisfying stress-reliever.

Weeeell they took the riot-zombies out. It's not a big gameplay change, but still, those bastards can make the difference on Expert.
