Oh my, that sounds like it would be tougher than expert if it's what I think it is.

Like, Hunting Rifle, Shotgun, and M16...well, you pick one up and that's it, no one else gets that gun. Then you can't have "infinite ammo piles" and...maybe you can overdose on pain pills. Maybe there will be no closet respawns, etc.

Hmm I don't think Valve will include 1 gun 1 person. The reason they took that out was so no one complained and everybody could pick their favourite weapon.

Sounds pretty interesting, even if making the Zombie Apocalypse realistic isn't exactly something we know how to simulate (unless you count ).

You just know there will still be people on the Steam forums complaining that it still isn't hard enough.

They should insert a difficulty setting called "For The People Who Think Its Just Not Hard Enough"

That'd teach em.

All zombies do 500% damage than their Expert counterparts.
Survivors can't carry any extra ammo, only a single clip/magazine.
Survivors run at 25% speed.
Any friendly fire results in instant death. For both the receiver and the giver.
And every 15 minutes, there is a 1/3 chance everyone will drop dead on the spot.

And a difficulty beyond that: "This Doesn't Seem Physically Possible"

Beat it without mods and Valve sends you a check for $1337. No one is getting that check though, because the zombies are invincible (your attacks only slow them down (sometimes)), everything is a one-hit-kill on you and the AI Director's motto is "All Zombies, All the Time".

And the zombies are armed with nuclear weapons. And chainsaws. Nuclear powered chainsaws.

Sounds.... ominous.

My friends and I have trouble with expert, so don't expect to see me on there.

Props to the people on there, though. I can't wait to see some videos.

Realism mode does that mean I will finally be able to hold more than one freaking molotov at a time now.

Right, because the soul-crushingly difficult Expert mode in which the A.I. Director is a sadist and actively wants you dead wasn't hard enough! But I'm sure this will please some of the more hardcore fans.

Me, I'm just hoping Expert's toned down a notch for L4D2. As in, every chapter isn't a Luck Based Mission.

And the only weapons you get is their skull.
Which you have to manually extract first.

Or maybe at the start of the level one character kills themselves, leaving only three characters, then two of those get eaten within 90 seconds, then the final character seeing this realises suicide is the only option and also kills themself.

If I'm right then realism mode will be 'Realistic' but it will also be simply crap.

.. but of course I won't be right, it'll just be a harder difficulty setting I'd say.

If it was really realistic, then there'd just be no zombies. I, personally, don't think they'll go that far with the realism. I could be wrong. It could be a game mode where you work in an office.

Ooh, err. Two shot friendly fire kills and you die in a few mouthfuls? If you get incapped then you die and don't respawn too? Throwing ideas out there.

And the skulls are caustic to the touch, taking off 50% of your health.
