Left 4 Dead Doesn't Start?

I had just gotten Left 4 Dead, I was so quick to put it in my xbox 360 and play it
Then, when the intro ends and the loading screen appears it freezes.
I have tried it like 50 times and it freezes everytime the damn thing reaches the first loading screen.
It finally played after like...what, 100 restarts? but as soon as I turn it off, then turn it back on like 5 hours later, I have to do the same thing, restart it till it feels like playing.
It doesn't do this on anyother games that I have, just Left 4 Dead.
Also I dont know if this is importent or not, but I dont have a harddrive for my 360 so I thought maybe thats the problem.
Does anyone have any advice? or has this ever happend to anyone else?

the disc is defective. go return it, and it should work. if not, then it might be a problem with your consoles optical drive, although i highly doubt it. just return the game.

Well, there is such a thing as a factory bad disc. Really.

Its probably a defective disc... wow you have bad luck, the chances of that are like 1 in 600,000...

Yeah Im aware that I have bad luck now -_- as soon as I tried it again, It gave me a Rrod.
I guess it was just a tease because when I tried it again, I didn't get a Rrod.
Man what did I do.

Back on topic, I'll try returning it, But if it really is a defective disk, it would do the same thing for another 360 right? I'll try it on my friends 360.

Wow, that's cold. I wouldn't mess around with that, just take it back to the store and exchange it.
