So, I saw this book in GAME a few months ago and I thought "What on earth could they put in a guide for this game?" It is 176 pages long and I don't understand how such a thematically simple game could have such a long guide.

I couldn't have a look at it instore because they now put stickers over the pages so that people can't just browse through the guides to find the part they are stuck on without buying the book, so does anyone on here own it? If so, can you shed some light on what the hell they can possibly put in this guide to make it so long? Thanks!

This has been bugging me for a while...

they make like 1/3rd of a letter per page and it reads: " SHOOOOOOT ZOMBIEZ IN THE HEAD" followed by a lot of pictures of zombiez with heads exploding. There is your guide for left 4 dead. :)

Wow never heard of it, but that's pretty funny, lots and lots o' pics. They probably give each one of the characters a thirty page backstory.

I'd imagine it'd be maps, zombie guides/human bio's, good places to attack as a zombie etc...
it's easy to go on for 170 pages if you draw out eeeeeverything, which is what I imagine it does.

There are plenty of little bits of information that people don't know about Left 4 Dead that can help you survive but how they filled 176 pages is beyond me.

I've seen weirder.

Zelda: Twilight Princess's player's guide is just as long, if not a bit longer, than Final Fantasy 12's.

Twilight Princess is the easiest Zelda game ever, and there are NOT that many side quests. I really don't want to know what they could fill that book with.

I can see the guide being useful for the hunter tactics as afew hunter jumps are quite difficult. It's like strafejumping in Quake almost, afew of the tricks could take up abit.
However I highly doubt they would be in the official guide...

I bought this yesterday, for like $15. I wouldn't have bought it otherwise. It has walkthroughs for every level, showing the best and alternate routes, where pickups may be. It gives strategies for both Infected and human players, and yeah, I've only had a quick flick thru so far.

I suppose this answers the question. I figured that it would be something like this. I bet the infected take up way more space than the survivors, 'cause they're more than just "point, shoot, repeat."

Yup, this answers my question, THANKYOU! I was merely curious to know what they could possibly be in it and it makes sense to have more pages on playing as an Infected. It's not exactly hard to play as a survivor, it's common sense more than anything.

So you know who's armed with what in a two-tier diamond formation? Good, but some people don't.
