Left 4 Dead Space ?

How's this for a collaboration ?

Combining the mad and pretty much endless four player action of Left 4 Dead
with the gritty, serious and sometimes terrifying action of Dead Space.

Would it work ?
What would it be like ?
What would the plot be ?
Etc ?

It would not work.

The appeal of Left 4 Dead is that it has the best zombie-apocalypse setting in gaming, as Yahtzee pointed out.

Dead Space is the concept of Resident Evil 4... IN SPACE! It has a lot to do with being alone in a dark spaceship, constantly hearing monsters crawl around.

The two wouldn't mix at all. Left 4 Dead wouldn't have as good of a setting if it was set in space, since you are supposed to feel like it is, in fact, a real zombie-apocalypse and not just zombies in some kind of setting. In space it would be more like Road to Fiddler's Green, more linear and less expanded levels.

L4D and Dead Space are nothing alike actually, other than L4D could be seen as a horror game by the weak of mind, even though I think most people just see it as a fun action game with really good immersion. The simple "Zombies in space" thing just comes off as over the top and ridiculous, not to say boring and uninspired.

Maybe on a colony on a planet with a breathable atmosphere. Maybe.

I'd rather see l4d:imperial rome, you have:shield, sword, spear, ect....

Oh, and Nazi zombies.....win, win scenario....
