New modes, new weapons, new characters, new story, new campaigns(obviously). All this was announced at E3 with release date of November 09. Thoughts?

Interesting. I'll be anxious to see how they manage to link the campaigns together as well as string the story with the original group's.

By the way, they should let me play as Zoey in the new campaigns. I like Zoey.

I'm kind of shocked they could get a new one out this quick but I guess they just reused the same engine and basically reskinned it........not much of a improvement but hell i'll still play it.

Yea Ive found it since, my bad. Blinded by excitement I guess. Not sure if the News Room threads come up in search? Anyways people, don't bother posting in this thread just go to the one above =)

They don't, all new characters with absolutely nothing in common with the original game. It's a completely different group of survivors in New Orleans. But there are melee weapons so it's all good.

Not just a re-skin, a whole Source upgrade allowing weather details and higher pixel count TASTY PIXELS much more intricate detail for the zombies and a higher horde count. Too upgrade left 4 dead would have been more trouble then designing a whole new game.
