Ok ill start by saying yeah this is opinion and what ever...so here is mine
there is a very annoying trend with FFP's you all know what it is, and I recently read an article about upcoming Homefront, somthing I was looking forward to untill I heard the dreaded words "5 hour campaign" my faith in that title has droped somwhat (even though they did dispute it , im still unsure. wait and see I supose)
this also apears to be the case with Bulletstorm..somthing ill probably get but not anytime soon
Fact is, taking multiplayer out of the equasion 5 hours is hardly worth $80, I mean sure that may be a mind blowing 5 hours but I might as well get a really good film and ill get the same entertainment value out of it
If I play a short game then Ill probably have to buy another game once im finished, as in spend more money
Oh sure some people might point out portal as the pinicle of short games being good....but as great as portal was it was not a stand alone title, and I dont think I would pay $80 for portal on its own
also length can make you feel liek youve completled somthign truly epic...like yourve on on a long journey, thats how I felt at the end of half life 2 and Bioshock
