Sad news, indeed. (We need to give him a 21-whoopie-cushion salute, for his favourite on-set prank.) I'm thinking of watching Airplane! tonight in his memory.

I had a horrible day at school, first I HAD to go to school and the first thing I was ever told today the first four words out of someones mouth to me was "Leslie Nielsen is dead" amd more than half the people I told didn't know who he was till I said Airplane! or Naked Gun.

My reponse when I first heard this (as I suspect many had) was 'Surely you can't be serious?'

Considering he was preety old, this isn't all that suprising. Of course, that doesn't make it any less sad and tragic. =(
