I thought that was known...this makes me sad...AwesomePeanutz said:Star Wars: Republic Commando for the original Xbox. Freakin' awesome, even if you're not a fan of Star Wars.
I still have all of those. Seriously. Even have the original lego creator, legoland, and stunt rally.Nintendolover222 said:All the older LEGO games. Both Lego Racers games, Lego Island games, Lego Alpha Team, Lego Rock Raiders. Lego Loco was one of the first games I played that I can remember.
(praying someone will make a third Lego racers)
It's on steam for ten dollars. The Multiplayer community is still pretty good, and there are some decent mods around. Nothing is better than sneaking through the jungle to raid a trandoshan base, or taking on a spider droid with only two people. Only wish is that it was longer, and for co-opWintermute_ said:Oh, and the only good star wars game next to Battlefront 1 and 2:
Star wars: Republic Commando.
This. was. THE. game. actually made star wars feel like there was a war goin on. So amazing. Such love for it, but I lost my copy in some way and haven't seen another since. I miss it so. Screw KotoR
I freaking loved that game.randomsix said:Psi Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy
It just has so many good mechanic ideas, and it's very good considering it's on the xbox original.
Never heard of Pathologic, but I didn't mention "The Path" because it seems like it got some press. Ill hear it get mentioned somewhat frequently as an, "Art game". I will agree that it deserves more. i think I mentioned Void because...well, the actual gameplay is what has the meaning. Path gets a lot of mileage out of visuals and a sense of exploration, but in Void, the resources you are managing, and the choices you are making have an actual metaphorical value. The Path is good, but Void is better designed.Khaiseri said:I shall second that[sub]damn you ninja, I wanted to say it first[/sub]. I just love that game, for me it's the best game game ever made.Xanadu84 said:The Void.
OT: Apart from The Void, Pathologic deserves a mention, mainly because it's the only game that has gone to themes of infection, medicine and a dying city. The Path also deserves a mention for being really open to interpretation, then there is The Misadventures of PB Winterbottom, one of the best platformer/puzzle games ever made. For me it's as good or even better than Braid. I haven't seen many people talk about it...
Another one is Giants: Citizen Kabuto.
Isn't that a flash game?Tankichi said:For lesser known i would go with indy titles like Company of Myself.
Hosed and Screwed were freaking hilarious. The thing that I hated about it now though is that I got it for the Gamecube and it didn't have online seriously great story HILARIOUS characters and dialogue and definitely needs a sequel.scorptatious said:
Does this qualify as lesser known but awesome? I think so.
Uhm...my avatar is rather sad not many people have heard of Golden Sun, it's one of the best RPGs I've played to date, certainly better than Final Fantasy.ShatterPalm said:Most people have heard of Halo and Final Fantasy. However, I've noticed that some of the best games are ones that often have very small fan bases. Take, for example, Golden Sun, a pair of RPGs for the GBA that I am hard pressed to find anyone who knows anything about. The same thing could be said for Fire Emblem or Lock's Quest.
In that, this thread will be strictly for lesser known games that are better in nearly every way to their well known mainstream counter parts. It's all opinion, so please, no arguments on whether or not a game is good, aye?

Yes! I have! My sister played it all the time way back, we're thinking of finding it again.hittite said:Show of hands, how many of you have actually ever heard of Chex Quest. For a game made entirely as a commercial for cereal, it's amazingly good.
