Can You Run It's mostly accurate arse said that I could. (It said I could run STALKER on full. Bull. Fucking. Shit.)
Really? Can You Run It tells you at what settings you can run a game at? It only tells me if I pass the minimum and the recommended system requirements.

Do you have any ideas about what your graphics card is? ATI or nVidia for a start, also, you aren't using a laptop are you?

Well, the bar was all the way to the right...I can barely run it at minimum, either. So, the point is, it was totally off base. I can run Oblivion just fine, though. Just have to turn off Distant Trees/Land.

Oh, and I am.

What this default card is. I'm lost when it come to computer tech talk, and half no plans of ever building my own or anything.

I shiver whenever I hear that graphics card
Understandable.

Well, I'm not trying to be a PC gamer (There are basically no JRPGs on PC, and that's pretty much stopping me from showing interest in the platform), so I'm using the cards I'm dealt with.

My laptop has the same chip, just try doing a windows update, it should update the drivers if there are any.

Pick the right version of Windows, then video card, then Intel. Should give you the right ones to download.

Although that's an exceptionally bad card and Amnesia is quite a pretty game, so I don't know how well it's going to turn out.

Can You Run It is a crap tool by the way, since all it does is base itself on what the developers have said are the minimum requirements, and the meeting the minimum requirements rarely means you can run anything at a proper frame rate on the lowest settings.

^Intel graphics isn't a card, it's a CPU based graphics solution and it's terrible.

That said, Amnesia does have issues. I had a similar thing happen when trying to pick up a note lol. For me the solution was pretty simple but it can't possibly be the same as you because you don't have an ATI card.

Anyway, try turning off Vsync?

And could this not turn into a topic about insulting my non-gaming, daily-life laptop and it's shitty graphics card?
I'm not going to insult it, I'm just going to tell you that pretty much every "renderer" problem can be fixed using an actual graphics card. Chipsets just don't cut it any more.

They do again, Sandy Bridge has pretty ok chipset graphics for laptops. It's shit on any regular sized monitor but for low resolution laptops, it's actually pretty decent. Doesn't help the OP of course but just throwing it out there, that Intel has stepped it up this time.
