Really? Can You Run It tells you at what settings you can run a game at? It only tells me if I pass the minimum and the recommended system requirements.Onyx Oblivion said:Can You Run It's mostly accurate arse said that I could. (It said I could run STALKER on full. Bull. Fucking. Shit.)
Well, the bar was all the way to the right...I can barely run it at minimum, either. So, the point is, it was totally off base. I can run Oblivion just fine, though. Just have to turn off Distant Trees/Land.TheComedown said:Really? Can You Run It tells you at what settings you can run a game at? Do you have any ideas about what your graphics card is? ATI or nVidia for a start, also, you aren't using a laptop are you?
Oh, and I am.TheComedown said:you aren't using a laptop are you?

My laptop has the same chip, just try doing a windows update, it should update the drivers if there are any.Onyx Oblivion said:Understandable.LightningBanks said:I shiver whenever I hear that graphics cardOnyx Oblivion said:Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
Well, I'm not trying to be a PC gamer (There are basically no JRPGs on PC, and that's pretty much stopping me from showing interest in the platform), so I'm using the cards I'm dealt with.

I'm not going to insult it, I'm just going to tell you that pretty much every "renderer" problem can be fixed using an actual graphics card. Chipsets just don't cut it any more.Onyx Oblivion said:I'm running the default chipset for my non-gaming laptop.

And could this not turn into a topic about insulting my non-gaming, daily-life laptop and it's shitty graphics card?
They do again, Sandy Bridge has pretty ok chipset graphics for laptops. It's shit on any regular sized monitor but for low resolution laptops, it's actually pretty decent. Doesn't help the OP of course but just throwing it out there, that Intel has stepped it up this time.lacktheknack said:I'm not going to insult it, I'm just going to tell you that pretty much every "renderer" problem can be fixed using an actual graphics card.
