I was just wondering who else are massive fans of what is in my opinion the most under-rated band in the history of rock.

They paved the way for stoner-rock, and were so radically ahead of their time, they are absolute bliss,

So come my fellow escapists and rejoice in the glory that is the band Kyuss!

Who? They kind of remind me of Queens of the stone age...cept a little more garage band sounding.

That's because when they split up, Josh Homme went on to start QOTSA, and he did all the writing for both bands.

Can you say repetitive? The two songs I listened to were nigh carbon copies. And this is personal taste, but the absence of lyrics is not good.

OK, maybe I over-exaggerated a tiny little bit, but still you've got to admit for a band that is just as good as Queens of the Stone Age, they have far less critical acclaim, which makes them far cooler in my eyes.

I said I know what you mean,it was a joke based off what I thought when I read the title and I decided to post it anyways after I read the actual post.


you know,when people intentionally replace a word with something that can be sounded out like the original word so it sounds more like there yelling it or something.

but I really have never heard of KYUSS,guess because of that whole underappreciated thing

One inch man(?) and the one you linked. While the former was different it was still very similar in some ways. The general style was a bit to defined for me, I like variation. And both the song where repetitive of them selves. Which is bad for an instrumental piece. All in all, not my tastes. I'm a lyrics man myself.

Kyuss is pretty good. Stoner rock is good stuff - some other good bands are Karma To Burn, Corrosion of Conformity, and my favorite band ever, Clutch (well, they were stoner rock at one time, anyway. not so much with their newer stuff)

I like the very early Kyuss.


Can't say I like much later stuff or QOTSA for that matter. There are better stoner bands out there.
