Seriously, man, how the hell do you forget to eat? That's just crazy.
I use that quote all the damn time!

But you got it slightly wrong. It's "Wouldn't it be better if we didn't do that? You know... instead of doing it?"

Whatever, just wash your hands.
Well when you start eating again don't eat allot, when you go for long periods without eating it fucks up your body and it takes time for it to get used to having food again.

I've done that before, many times, it's usualy on the forth day that I realise, and usualy because i sudenly get bored and decide to eat something, and suddenly remember when I last ate. The most I have done is 5 days, but I was so bored and coulden't sleep, it was half 4 in the morning, so it could have been almot 6 but boredom and no sleep won over.
Thinking about it, if I had a free week and a brand new, very long game, I think I probably could go a week without eating. I might give it a go when Skyrim comes out, I'm already deeply unhealthy, so I don't think this will affect my health too much.

Earlier today I came to the realization that I have forgotten to eat for the past 3 days. So why not make it a week? Who wants to join me?
yeahno your body doesn't last that long without food if you are remotely active; people who actually fast for months tend to veg out for most of it to conserve energy, or start out really fat so they have something to burn.

Sure it will, Give it a shot. I've done this before so I know what to expect and how to do it. And nobody fast for months plural, that would certainly kill you.

I would join you if I didn't start college on Monday. C'mon people it doesn't hurt to practice a little self discipline every once in a while. There are worse things you can to to yourself that aren't nearly as difficult. Challenge declined but appreciated my good man.
Eating the right kind of food to fuel your body properly and refusing stuff filled with sugar, starches and wheat would be practicing some beneficial self discipline. Fasting for a weak on the other hand is just doing something that is outright bad for your body and brain, and will likely result in adding a few extra pounds or more once you stop. It's not self discipline, it's just stupid.

I do the same thing occasionally. Once, I forgot to eat, didn't really sleep (insomnia) and just fell down one day and couldn't get up. When asked the last time I ate, I couldn't remember, since it had been quite a few days.
That was a little funny, although my friends started watching me like a hawk to make sure I ate.

yeah; see it's not healthy. Also, I literally can't give it a shot because my work requires feats of strength out of me on a regular basis. basic laws of conservation of energy and mass, i have to eat or i lose strength.

Believe me when i say it's not nearly as bad for you seem to think it is. But I can see your point, the heaviest thing i have to lift at work is 50lbs bags of flour to make pizza dough, So i don't really have any heavy lifting to do.

Well, as long as you know what you're doing, Bannor, then I'd say there's no real danger. Though seeing as your overall health seems to be precarious based on your previous posts, I guess I'll sound like a broken record to you if I tell you to be careful.

I've fasted before myself, mostly for the same reasons. There's too few hours in the day and I spent most of my Bachelor's Degree running left and right catching up with classmates I'd been paired with or just working my ass off to keep up with set deadlines. That included accidental fasting after two days of six hours of class a day, plus five hours of work. So, well, I just forgot to eat at times. Sometimes for two days straight. I ran on bad coffee and almost a crate's worth of water bottles per day. Never crashed once naturally. Only time I did was when I was goaded into trying Guru, one of the local alternatives to Red Bull.

That... was not fun. Things start to feel too slow, like you've developed a flash-speed case of ADD, and then they feel too fast. Then the head pounding kicks in, along with heart palpitations and a fair bit of cold sweat.

Yeah, no Guru for me, ever again. Which is kinda weird, seeing as I'm a *very* occasional consumer of Red Bull, and it barely affects me. It just keeps me awake and doesn't exactly tweak me the way Guru does.

Anyway. So long as you listen to yourself enough to know when to stop, and that you can recognize signs of your body wanting to crash until further notice, you'll be fine. The best pick-me-ups ever to exist are still food and sleep.

Amen, My choice to not eat for a week is probably indirectly feeding some third world kids.

Oh. Well, I don't actually remember the quote firsthand; I read it somewhere. So whoever wrote it is the one who really got it wrong, not me XD.

It's strange that I don't remember him saying that, as I recall lots of other RvB quotes.

Even god thinks that 3 days is too much. The bible only makes you fast 1.
But I'm not a christian, I'm a Buddhist.
Oof, yeah you should probably fast...indefinitely.
And people wonder why i loathe christians...
Not quite getting you there. Pretty sure Budha fasted in meditaion until there was barely anything left of him and he reached nirvana.

In Judaism people fast 1 day on yom kippur.

It's when they think Lopez has been reprogrammed, so Sarge has an idea to turn one of the team into an robot and/or freaky cyborg thing. Simmons was then "volunteered" for the operation.

But at least he got a copper rectum!
