Well its been 400 years since Galileo first used a telescope and NASA being the "nice" guys that they are want us geeks and porn addicts on the net to decide what the Hubble Telescope looks at next (not at Megan Fox sadly).

Its between six co-ordinates and i think to totally destroy the voting us Escapists unite and vote on the same one.

Link: http://youdecide.hubblesite.org/

EDIT: Will create a poll if enough people are interested or bothered with the idea.

Well if we are all going to vote for the same one we have to decide which one to vote for. I think we should vote for the Edge-on Galaxy.

Screw the edge-on. In #6 you can see a collision! It's like a trainrweck in slow motion with... you know... very big trains... very big... and very slow...

I don't see how this can be considered a fair vote...

I would be willing to bet all the money I have ($7.75 USD) on the interacting galaxies winning. The cool factor is just so much higher than the other options.

Yeah. Interacting galaxies for-the-win.

Nah, spiral galaxies will win, because people are stupid and amused by shiny things, as opposed to awesome things.

I think we should point it at the Great Attractor and keep making Hubble better and better until we can find out what it is and stop it from playing any pranks that cause New York blackouts.

Definately the interacting galaxies. The others seem very boring by comparison...

My vote is either for the interacting galaxies or the star forming because, while I suspect it would be more likely that we find life on the spiral galaxy, the other two are much more rare occurrences. (I am right about this, yes? any astronomers want to correct me?) Therefore, we are far more likely to get information out of those two than any of the others. I can't imagine why we'd want to look at the side-on one, to be honest. It seems like we'd get the least information from it.

Are we going to lock this up with a poll or just vote willy-nilly on our own?
