You've just raced away from your home in your car with your three most reliable companions after realizing that there is a horrible zombie infection sweeping your town. You realize you only have time to loot one store before you are completely trapped, where do you go?(Lets pretend your town has the store you want)

I would loot Bass Pro Shop. They have all the guns, outdoor supplies, and tough clothes I could ask for. Not much food, but I guess I could hunt and fish for it.

Wal-Mart

Guns, Food, Electronics, ect.

Edit: I realize now that not every Wal-mart has these items, but the one where I live does.

My town has a Territorial Army base, so if that counts, then that. Only place I know with guns, after all, since I live in good old Blighty. If not, then probably the supermarket I work in, Waitrose, because it's a decent place to hole up with limited entry points that are easy to defend, and it's somewhere I know and thus have the upper hand in defending. However, it's fairly far from the city centre and the airport, being the main places where rescue troops would arrive and evac from. That could prove to be a problem in the long term... :p

You ninja'd me in your own thread. I was gonna say Bass Pro, or Cabela's. They have plenty of food. It's the freeze-dried stuff, the kind of food that will last forever and is very simple, yet sustaining.

Tank store.

Hey, you said pretend it has the store I want, so why not pretend there are tank stores?

I live in Canada, so the best I could hope for would be a Hockey shop...

Pretend store-wise: A all you can have Mall a la L4D2. Get everything I want, and race out of there ASAP!

My town is small, and not very well-to-do.

So I'd probably head down to the Wallymart. Get the supplies and make it into a safe haven. Letting others in who had the same idea, but only let them in under my guidance. I then become the leader of the tribe and have them fortify the Wallymart, to keep all the zombies out, and send out scavenging parties to retrieve more weapons, and to look for more survivors. Having the parties go further and further out each time in the vehicles left over in the Wallymart car-shop.

I will build a fortress I tell you! A FORTRESS! *wild eyed look* We shall grow from survivors and be all powerful! BWHAHAHAHAHAHA, YAY!

At least until we are bombed by the government. *cough*

Home Depot or other similar store. And I wouldn't loot it, that's my home base from which I raid the surrounding countryside. Seriously, I could turn that thing into a fortress given an hour, and have decent barricades in minutes. Not to mention all the melee weapons you could ever want.

I've got a National Guard Armory 'bout 15 minutes away from home. I'll head on over there, even if it isn't a store.

Same. That store has everything. They have plenty of ammo. They even have restaurant and fish in tanks in case I am tired of eating beef jerky.

I'd go loot Helston gunsmiths, it isn't my town but it's only about 20 minutes away from me by car. They have 2 Centurion tanks and a couple of armoured cars. As well as guns.

I also live in Canada, so Canadian Tire is where I'm heading. Loot everything I need in a survival pack, grab a few weapons, steal a bunch of seeds, then fill up as many tanks of gas as possible.

to hell with a store i live in the middle of nothing but farms, so id go to my buddy's house (his family owns a farm) and wait there, cause it's in the middle of nowhere a few miles away from any major population where we could prolly clear out any zombies in the area and continue life until the help arrives or the fact that every other house has enough guns to supply a small army clears out all the zombies in a large radius.

Well my town doesn't have much in the way of anti-zombie stuff stores.
The best I could hope near here would be the Tailor's Do It Center (a "do it yourself" store) down the road. Sledgehammers, 2x4s, crowbars, and nails. They could be useful and won't run out of ammo. :)

That's the power of imagination.

... I know 3 companions who are regularly prepared for a zombie apocalypse. I don't actually have to do much.

If I was really trying, I would have said Gundam Depot.
