Gander Mountain. Guns, survival supplies, fishing gear, and winter clothes. Or the Adult Toy store. What? I can't enjoy myself before I die?

Everyone going to the same stores and possibly killing each other for supplies.
I'll just stay at home with guns and food and just wait till the whole thing blows over.

Hmm, can it be a made up store? Or a science lab or something? Or a plant?
If not, then I guess a grocery store. Or BMW or Porcshe or something.

Best Buy. What I saw it in Cloverfield. Anytime a giant monster or in this case zombies show up, all you need to do is head down to best buy and start looting electronics.

Well, depending on how much advance warning I got, and the time of day/night, I'd head on down to the local gunsmith. Weapons and ammo, as well as an easily fortified store. Otherwise I'd head up for the nuclear plant a couple of hours north. They have APCs, and I assume that most people wouldn't be heading towards a nuclear power plant in a zombie apocalypse. Hell, maybe stick around and fortify it, I don't know. It'd depend on who/what was already there.

Mall of America. So many stores and so much inside of them it is the best place to loot.

Well I have given this a lot of thought before. Unfortunately I have to cheat you see in my town there is a home depot and a super target located right next to each other.

STEP 1: hit the home depot get tools to boarder up target

STEP: 2 boarder up target plenty of food to survive plenty of room for your friends

toughest part would be to keep all the looters and polluters out.

and if a zombie got in we would have some trouble disposing of it

side note in a zombie apocalypse the zombies would not be the main problem classic predator prey scenario that would happen in anarchy.

"Master Bait and tackle" say it out loud. And yes thats a real store in Maine. A la cabelas or bass pro shop. Or in my town in Mass. I'd go to the chopper store i geuss. I mean they have motorcycles and parts and shit so they'll probably have guns. And for food I can go across the street to the seedy bars

Well my town doesn't have much in the way of anti-zombie stuff stores.
The best I could hope near here would be the Tailor's Do It Center (a "do it yourself" store) down the road. sledgehammers, 2x4s, crowbars, and nails. They could be useful and won't run out of ammo. :)

Tank store.

Hey, you said pretend it has the store I want, so why not pretend there are tank stores?
That's the power of imagination.
If I was really trying, I would have said Gundam Depot.
If that's the case, then I choose NERV central! Biomechanical monstrosities for the win!

Devil's Advocate: Did you just say biomechanical? What would happen if zombies bit your Eva?

Well, then I guess it would turn int-...FFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
And that's why i'd walk over to the nearest Battlemech Hangar, and hijack me an Atlas :p

In all reality, i'd just grab the melee weapons i have at home, and head off to the mountains

home depot or lowes since they both have weapons, food, plants to grow more food, and enough building materials to make the building damn near impenetrable against zombies

I would drive up to the bigger town, has plenty of resources and I can make the hardware store home base as I scavenge the rest of the town.
