If it can reproduce something like the battles in Mount and blade: napoleonic warfare I might just buy this when it releases. Looking at the kickstarter in general I'm very cautiously optimistic about this one. I hope they have the steel nerves of napoleonic warfare where reloading a rifle will take somewhere near as long as reloading a rifle took at the time. (which is probably faster than it took to reload the guns of napoleonic warfare but slower than it takes to reload your average halo or call of duty weapon) The tension and unique tactics in napoleonic warfare were really good as a result.

I'd be highly amused if you could set the game to play Revolver Ocelot's speech about the thrill of reloading whenever you reloaded.

So a Civil war reenactment game. That's different. Politics aside, the problem I see is that how many people will be willing to play a game where there actions may have little to no effect on their survival or the outcome of the battle.
People played drummers, flute players, and bagpipers [https://youtu.be/PJV8YSNvn_E] in the Mount and Blade Napoleonic Wars setting. I'm sure this game will be fine.
