Code Veronica:

My word this one is fucking weird ain't it? Code Veronica feels like the true sequel to RE2 and according to what over read online, that was originally the plan but Capcom wanted a trilogy on the ps1 so Nemisis was the cap to that.

Code Veronica features Claire from RE2 still looking for her brother where she is immediately ambushed and taken to an unknown Umbrella facility where she gets to escape from more zombies. At this point I would just wish my brother the best and go home especially since he is a super spy and I am nobody.

The moment Claire is brought to this facility if becomes under attack which releases the zombie flu again and off we go. The game honestly followed a lot of the same beats as re1, where the backtracking is the name of the game here. However like RE3 there is a much heavier focus on action this time around.

Code Veronica is also strangely hard compared to the previous games. Like zombies are everywhere and very tough, the new stretchy arm monster will often tap you for a free hit from off screen because even though we are fully rendered now, we do not have free camera yet.

I feel like CV is also long compared to the last games but that might be due to the backtracking and the characters being terribly annoying. This is the game with a whinny Canadian following you and the creepy Ashford twins who really ramp the camp of the series to the moon.

Ashford is a lot like Midget Napolean from RE4 in that regard, just an insane over the top villain that really doesn't service the story very well. Oh and our buddy Wesker is back who i am not sure Claire would have any reason to have ever met or known before this incident.

I don't really like this one much, the tanky enemies grown annoying after a while, there is a room with bats that absolutely sucks. And a feel like none of the ideas here really come together in a way that works. It is just a forgettable RE game that I hope they drastically improve if they ever decide to remake it as the rumor goes.

Like I said before, they contracted by Sony to have 3 mainline RE games. So they moved Code Veronica to next gen consoles.

Told ya. CV is only barely better than RE0. None the plot points set up by CV happened at all (aside from Chris eventual final showdown with Wesker), or happened off screen mostly with Resident Evil: Dead Aim and RE4's opening narration being the end point to said plot points.

Yeah I'm probably not going to bother finishing CV either. At least I only paid 10 bucks for it.

Anyway, going by chronological order, next on the list is the remake of the first one, which for some reason never seems to enter the conversation when people talk about how remakes are the worst thing ever. Curious that. Still a good game though.

Because those bitches know better than to disrespect peak. Not to mention those same bitches will make an "exception", because he the game was made in a time where "not many remakes" were happening.
