Now, after my first thread completely failed, I realised it was of my own fault, and, as I want to have a good time, and have you guys have a good time, we'll be trying this again. This time, I will wait for seven (that's right, seven!) character sheets to be posted up, and then will use www.random.org to choose who's story we follow.

The main premise is that after the character has been chosen, I will give them a series of choices depending on the situation. The majority vote is the action that the character then takes, for some possibly very amusing results!

Backstory:
This tale takes place in the land of 'Caldaran', a land populated with Elves, Mages, Dwarves, Goblins, but among this seemingly simple tale lies technology. A 'what if' scenario, where fantasy and modern day have been mixed together, meaning that your perceptions of a character may not be what you expect.

Playable races:
Human: Varied height and weight, (you guys can choose) can learn magic, and use most firearms. A nice all rounder balance. Accepted by most societies. Basic human names.

Dwarf: Short and stubby, these warehouse dwellers cannot use magic but have a knack for firearms, shotguns in particular. Are also good melee fighters due to their thick skin and strength. Most are terrible at stealth as well. Treated like lesser citizens in some societies. Called by title, E.G. Henry of the Sand Dwellers.

Elf: Tall, and usually thin, these agile warriors know their way around a pistol and sub machine-gun, and are skilled at magic. Brought down by low health and strength. Arguably one of the best stealth races to encounter in this land, they have little fear whilst in a hand to hand combat duel. Praised by most societies for often being an embodiment of beauty and peace.
Names are long and complex.

Goblin: Medium sized fat pests. They have a basic understanding of firearms, but prefer smashing stuff with big sticks. Awful at stealth and understanding few magic techniques, these annoyances are shunned by most societies, but do have the odd supporting group. Names are short and plain. E.G. Thung.

Zenatian: Lizard-man combinations created by supposedly, the drunken wager of a God, due to their appearance. Have a fantastic ability to blend in with their environments, and are also skilled in melee. Snipers are also their main firearm, but they can control pistols, be they semi-auto, or fully automatic. Slightly less respected than Dwarves, but more respected than Goblins. (Cannot choose gender, race is asexual.) Names have two sections. E.G. Rae'fu fu.

Class:
(Will affect starting mission and companions.)
Wanderer: Travels the land, looking for most jobs, whatever they may be. Will develop based on skill choices and story decisions, has no set class abilities. Starts off with a small supply of Zantinz, (currency) and a weak version of the races main secondary weapon.

Assassin: A contract killer, known for efficiency and etiquette, starts off with a moderate amount of Zantinz, and a silenced pistol.

Mercenary: Has a gang of close friends, all of them willing to die for each other, and all of them enjoy a good drink and bit of fun together. Starts with a moderate amount of Zantinz, and a weak automatic weapon or secondary weapon.

Praised one/Forbidden one: Strong magic wielders, which are either 'praised' or 'forbidden', as the name states. Praised ones are accepted and worshipped, while Forbidden ones are rogue Praised ones. Starts with a large amount of Zantinz, and magic amplifying gauntlets. Cannot be taken by Dwarves.

Blademaster/Backstabber: Mainly melee class, has the advantage when up close. Blademasters are better at straight up combat, while Backstabbers are great at stealth. Preferences assassination and missions with combat in, other anything else. Starts with Small amount of Zantinz, and a close combat weapon or stealth weapon depending on which sub-class is chosen.

Skills:
5 skills can be chosen per character sheet. Any amount that you want from any tree, you could have an entire mage characters, or near entire conversation character, but there will be combat, so you'd be choose some of those skills!
(Skills have restrictions, such as dwarves not being able to choose magic skills.)

Conversation skills:
Charm: Lull people into taking you view.
Intimidate: Scare or threaten them to make 'em see your point of view.
Trick: You're good at lying, and most people believe nearly anything you say.
Barter: Gives you a nice discount at stores.

Melee skills:
Large axes: There ain't nothing stronger than a nice beheading!
Large hammers: Faster than axes, but doesn't have the strength or decapitation capabilities that they do.
Mace/Small hammer: One handed, and able to use a shield, but lack the power of large weapons.
Swords/Axes: Can be used with both hands, and can use a shield, a nice balance of strength and speed.
Daggers: For those tricky stealth types, but not great at straight up combat.
Shield: While this skill isn't required to use a shield, it greatly increases shield abilities.
Hand-to-hand: Biff! Pow! Gives you better strengths when fighting unarmed.
Strength: Gives you melee hits that extra oomth.
Speed/agility: Makes you a master at hitting fast, and avoiding your enemies hits.
Dual wield: Increases speed and strength when dual wielding one handed weapons.

Firearm skills:
Rocket launchers: BOOM! This skill isn't needed to use them, but increases your accuracy with them.
Assault rifles: Nothing can beat the dakka dakka capabilities of an assault rifle, but large recoil and weight make it a hard skill to master.
Sniper rifles: If you want those headshots, this is a vital weapon.
Shotgun: Nothing better at close range, but poor accuracy and long range capabilities, unless you can find someone to modify your gun.
Sub machine-gun: Can be dual wielded for extra murdering abilities, and has a great rate of fire, but the accuracy suffers a bit.
Pistol: Able to be dual wielded, and has such varied power and rate of fire, it's great for an all rounder weapon.
Dual wield: Increases accuracy whilst dual wielding one handed guns.

Magic skills:
Destruction: Solve all your problems with a fireball to the face!
Illusion: Deception and stealth are bolstered with these abilities.
Alteration: Change your strength, speed, whatever! Mainly helps to buff you and your comrades, and un-buff your enemies.
Restoration: Support allies or cure you wounds with this handy magic.
Necromancy: (Can only be taken by Forbidden one) Raise the dead and take your enemies souls for future battle, but watch out, if then guards see these arts in the act, they'l know you're a rogue mage!

Miscellaneous skills:
Health regeneration: Increases the speed at which you restore health.
Singing and dancing: While it might seem useless, this skill can be handy for distractions or getting some spare cash.
Thievery: Yoink! Decreases the chance of people seeing you steal.
Tracking: Helps you identify tracks, and gives you greater self-awareness.

Oh, and with the majority vote thingy? Yeah, someone made your guy set the alarm late and start getting choked by a lizard man. If you hurry, you will have a say in his fate.

Okok, I always participate in these things but I do have school, i'm still 16... You can't just say its dead if no one posted in over 9 hours, to call it dead i'd have to say you'll have to wait for four days, if there's still nothing, it's dead.

I am also in school as well, but different time zones shift stuff around. I guess we're still continuing your guys story on the other one, but feel free to re-enter him here, if you want.

Ah, I think you have misunderstood. I take 7 character sheets, put them into a random generator, and whichever one is chosen is the one whose adventure we follow. After each scene they will be given some choices of which the readers vote on to see what happens.

All you need to actually do is make the character. The public get the majority vote to decide their actions.
