Hey all. So, I've been somewhat doing a Let's Play of Deus Ex: HR, and I have a question. I can net myself some mighty fine 1080p HD using FRAPS -> Windows Movie Maker then publishing through WMM, but it takes *forever* to do a single 15 min video.

Can anyone suggest a faster way of doing it without sacrificing video quality?

*twitch* Does an LP on a game that isn't even a week old which also means it´s blind ._.

Also WMM is ass, try to change over to something that was meant to be used as video editor software, most newb friendly I can think off would be Camtasia.

Heh I've gone through it a few times already. I've had a lot of free time recently :/ So not quite blind.

And I've never heard of Camtasia, I'll try it.

Well, seeing as you're going against on of the big LP Rules I can assume you aren't on SA. So my advice is this: Don't do it at all.

Also, who watches LPs in 1080p?

I've heard good things about Premier, though haven't personally bothered with it. It's also Adobe, which means it'll cost you a pretty penny.

I watch in 1080p... what? I have a fast internet connection! DON'T JUDGE ME

And yes, I know. It's a new game. My logic is that
A. Anyone looking up LPs either don't care or want to know.
and
B. The games are broad enough that my one way of doing things won't ruin everything.

I'm not going to do the entire thing, probably. This is more practice than anything. But I was asking for future experiences.

(And yes, I'm not on SA. That doesn't mean that I'm barred from doing them, last time I checked.)

EDIT: But I understand where you're coming from with that, and I suppose that I agree. It's kind of a dick move, I guess. I never was planning on doing the whole thing, though, just showing off maybe the first level or so. Y'know, enough to show the mechanics.

No, WMM simply takes a long time to export. This is the price you pay for using freeware i'm afraid. I suggest doing it in weekly installments to give you time to do all the video editing you need to do.
