Go watch Cowboy Bebop. It revolves around an ex-mafia member with a deathwish and complains that there is no meat, an ex-cop who lost his arm and leg, a woman who has huge gambling debts and steals, a dog that has been engineered to be smarter than those three characters, and a super genius 12 year old girl who hacks for fun and seems to have ADHD, all trying to catch bounties in space. Only really emotional part comes at the end, but that is also my favorite part of the anime.Chronamut said:The only anime I actually have liked...and even then that might have just been in contrast to all the other anime I've seen.
I've yet to find an anime I like, are there any animes that aren't full of over emotional scenes and characters (or at least little of it) and a little bit of fighting in it, plus no kawaii stuff in it? Also the plot must be good and the episodes I hope don't drag on for too long...
Edit: In another thread someone suggested One Piece to me, I watched a little bit of that, most of it seems good but it looks a bit childish. I might watch it though.
OT: Death Note had a good swing, but poor follow through for a ground out to first. It was an interesting idea, but the anime was a wall of text and the manga should have been a book. I stopped caring after the first book and second episode, but skipped ahead to other parts without missing anything because they explained everything that had happened. Three times a book. And then they had flashbacks, with explanations of what had lead up to that point in the flashback.
Light was too perfect, he had no flaws until he began to develop insanity at the end.
L was alright, if a bit weird.
Misa was annoying and an idiot. It's a wonder she still liked Light with how he treated her.
Near was L, simple as that.
Ryuk was awesome cause he stayed silent most of the time.
The rest were alright, but that may only be because they didn't have the time to grate on you. It focused almost exclusively on Light and L for the most part, even mentioning L quite a bit after he had died. And not to mention how they explained everything they did, as well as the deus ex machinas.
