Okay, this is not a discussion for those that don't want to be spoiled about Dragon Age's changes so I will put a spoiler block on it just to be a nice guy. So here I begin

Okay there are changes to dragon age 2 that some may not know. I will list them so it could be easier to see, some were already leaked/exposed.

1. The Art Style made is becoming somewhat darker.
2. The game seems to be based before, during and maybe after Dragon Age: Origins.
3. The game play will actually be different between PC and consoles
4. DA2 will be based on a single character by the name of Hawke.
5. Voice Over. We know this but what is being done is a ME similar wheel choice. There are no sentences to choose from but more of expression of what you want said. Something similar to Alpha Protocol.
6. Morrigan may make an appearance.
7. The way the story itself is being played out is similar to "The Usual Suspects" Here is a link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Usual_Suspects
8. Companions still as talkative and fleshed out as in DA:O. Difference now is that even if they don't like you, they will still stay in your party. You can be hostile to them even. Though if they don't like you they would "...try to show you up."
9. There are now melee combination moves as there were magic combination moves. This also means that magic has finisher endings as well.

So yeah, there is a lot.

EDIT: Gameinformer Info. (Subscribed) I will NOT take credit for their work.

Let's see...they've already announced that what you've got for #2 isn't accurate. The character of Hawke is picked up as he's down in the dumps in the aftermath of the Blight--namely, the events of Dragon Age: Origins/Awakenings/Insert DLC Title Here. You then get to...well, "follow" isn't an accurate word, since you'll actually be controlling him..."trollishly manipulate"? Anyway. You get to experience the next 10 years of Hawke's life as he goes from Nameless Nobody to Big Badass of Ferelden (or somesuch). Also, last snippet I read from Bioware said that (#6) Morrigan will likely /not/ be making an appearance.

I have no idea where you got #7 from. Kaiser Soze? Really??? Linkage, please.

Now what I like about it is that there will be different gameplay between PC and consoles. The PC keeps the original style while the console becomes a little more actionrpg game play. I like the original style myself though.

As for the expression wheel kind of thing.....I don't know. This IS bioware we are talking about so it can go either way. But I myself enjoyed the list of choices, because it felt like more of a choice than about how i'd express myself than. But than I enjoyed that old school feel.

The hostility I approve of. Not because you get to be a prick, but because it shows that just because they follow you doesn't mean they have to like you.

Dragon Age 2. Oh boy, this is not a fun topic for me. It doesn't look like it's going to appease the majority of the old fans or create a new fanbase. I'm kinda worried for Bioware on this one.

It's changing quite a lot of things from Dragon Age: Origins and my looking at the threads in the Bioware Social forums you can clearly see that these changes have upset A LOT of DA's fan's. I am however are going to remain optimistic about the game and quite like some of the things announced about the game.

I think Bioware may lose some fans over this though.
