Ok...Jesus did not go to hell when he died, he went to Hades wich is divided into Paradise and Torment. Hades is generally referred to as hell though. And the bible never makes any referrence to hell being in the center of earth...and if i didn't already mention Jesus went to the Paradise part.

Thanks for sharing, Griever18. You have to love fundies resorting to scare tactics to convert people because plain ol' conversation and intelligent discussion is far too involving! I was going to link to the snopes page on this story, but D-Mic beat me to it.
Anyhow, I love how the video maker makes the connection between tube worms and Mark 9:48 - it just screams paranoid reasoning. Sad, too, because the guy does come off as well-intentioned, in a nutty, Jack Chick sort-of-way. It kind of annoys me - so I've known my fair share of VEEEERY religious folks who are so nice and sweet but want nothing more than you to dedicate every last thing you do to their church AND ONLY THEIR CHURCH INITIATIVES. Good to see sane heads among Christians & co who prevail enough to point out and mock these things.

This video is pretty screwed up in a lot of ways.
The Christian perspective on hell has evolved far beyond the simple hellfire that sinners are cast into at the center of the earth.
(mainly because it had to, seeing as Hell was only described in concept in the bible, which is effective really seeing as if it does exist it would most likely be beyond our comprehension.)
The modern perception usually gravitates around the ideas that the true suffering of hell is caused the the knowledge of one's eternal separation from God and that no one goes to hell without choosing it in some way (but, what constitutes that choice is a topic of heated debate even today)
Also another thing that should be pointed out is that almost every (there are exceptions to everything) devout Christian is devout out of love for God and not fear of hell, especially in the Protestant secs.
Sorry to get all religious on you, but just thought that a few people might appreciate the context of something like this in the perspective held by a majority modern Christian faiths.

Exactly, I've always maintained that kids are the most terrible STD ever. The most insidious thing about them is that they often manage to make the host feel some affection towards them, allowing them to grow to the stage where it's possible to legally cure yourself. If that's Hell, then rightfully, we should be able to find "God" and heaven somewhere out in our Universe. However, no sign of it has ever been found, and by their own beliefs, rightfully so.
There is no physical manifestation of their Heaven or Hell, and they know it.
To be honest, though, Hell must be horrible.
