Lets talk about Rebecca Mayes...

So I listened to some Rebecca Mayes Muses and...I don't really know what to think. I mean, she seems like a talented song-writer and musician, and I liked most of what I heard, but her voice just bugs the crap out of me. Its got this weird sort of whiney bend to it that just really rubs me the wrong way. Also, to me there is something just a tad off about her, she creeps me out a teeny bit. On top of that, her lyrics/videos sometimes seem completely insane to me.

That being said, the chorus to her Love Song for Yahtzee had me rockin' out.

So, comments? Think I'm a pretentious arse?

Eh, she's OK. I've only listened to one video and that was a fair while back now.

I'm not a big fan. But then again i've never been a big 'coffee-house-music' sort of guy. Her lyrics are quite witty most of the time though, so that is definitely something!

I enjoy her music and think she is talented. I don't listen to many of her songs more than once. However, I don't listen to music an awful lot anyway.

Although everyone has been talking about how they want MoS to replace her or something. He is also a very talented individual!

I quite like her, but that's just me. Well, not literally just me. It's just my opinion. I find her videos quite entertaining, and the songs quite imaginative. It doesn't hurt that she's reasonably attractive, either.

She's very creative, attractive, and tallented. Do I like the genre? Well.. I'd listen because of her. And she's the only girl I know that writes songs about video games.

not a fan really, her style comes across as either to odd or to generic for me. I do enjoy the lyrics sometimes, its just her presentation isn't my thing.

Her songs can get repetitive but by and large I find them pretty amusing and she is quite talented.

She's okay and enjoyable at times but Brentalfloss is much better.

The jury came back recently and their verdict: I don't really like her songs. Sure I loved her Plants vs Zombies song (Love You Hate You I think) and enjoyed her Overlord 2, Worms 2: Armageddon, and Love Song for Yahtzee tunes but all in all I dislike her songs.

I listened to her Modern Warfare 2(?) one and once I realised it wasn't just an overly long intro I thought well this is lame and left, though she seemed like a good singer
