Yes. What the heck are you talking about?

Is this some company that offers an experience similar to the '97 Michael Douglas movie, The Game? If so, who cares? If someone can afford it, let them do what they want for enjoyment as long as no one innocent gets hurt. If not, then I have no idea what you're talking about.

It's a company that you pay to go on a drug-running speedboat ride with, kidnap you, stalk you, or have you wake up in an autopsy table on a morgue.
You'd think that maybe that would be worth talking about.

So, it is like the movie.

So, I ask again, who cares? If someone wants to, and can afford it, pretend to be a criminal and pay others pretend to be the cops chasing him, then let them. No laws are being broken and it doesn't affect me in the least.

It's an odd, somewhat interesting thing. It's not like people paying to have crimes committed to them (you can pay them to burglarize your house) is exactly an everyday, normal thing.

I find it no less odd than fully grown adults who spend their free time pretending to be an infant in diapers and pay someone to watch over them like a nanny.

In general, people are weird. And, people with means can afford to do extra weird things, if it tickles their fancy.

Eh. I think the thing I find most weird about this is besides the drug run, all the crimes are being acted on the person who paid. Again, you pay them, then after a few weeks or months you're walking home one day and suddenly you are nabbed and kidnapped before you can even remember 'Hey, I paid some guys to kidnap me some time ago!'

Different strokes for different folks.

This is simply the fantasy that the people who employe their services. Maybe they just want to be dominated, maybe they want the people to take a fall so they can feel dominate.

Oh, yeah, and also the whole 'wake up in a morgue' thing. I don't know if there are people besides you involved in that, I guess that stroke is for the folks who want to give themselves a stroke. I think it would be a great constipation aid.

At first, I thought they were just the latest Latin American kidnapper cartel. Since it's basically a fantasy they're selling, I don't see much to note. It's an adrenaline high, it's something different, it breaks up the ennui of being richer than God, hell, maybe it can be used as counter-kidnapping training. Wouldn't want to do it, mind, but seems like a reasonable thing for a rich person to want to try.
