[HEADING=2]Let's try to write some limericks, everyone![/HEADING]
For those who don't know, a limerick is a type of poem constructed of five "lines", so to speak. The first, second and fifth lines all have to rhyme with each other, the third and fourth lines have to rhyme with each other, and the first and fifth line should end with the name of a place (Country, city or similar) to be considered a "proper" limerick. But we don't care about proper here. Well, try to at least make the first line end with a name of some kind.
Oh yeah, there should also be a bit of a rhythm to it when you read it out loud. So keep it short.
I might've gotten some parts of the description wrong; Somebody who is Irish or smarter/more literate than me can probably do a better job explaining it.
Let's start off with an example that doesn't involve a man from Nantucket:
There was an old man from L.A
Who went down to the store one day
But he was soon thrown out
What was that all about?
Well, he couldn't afford to pay
...Well that kinda sucked, but as long as you get the picture.
There was a young girl from Shanghai
Who loved to eat grass. Don't ask why.
But I guess that she reasoned,
that if properly seasoned,
anything can taste good if you try
