Adding a new show to G Gen isn't news. Obviously a game that sells solely based on including everything from every Gundam property, however obscure, in its playable cast is going to add the next big production. Also, wondering if Level-5 might be working on a G Generation game makes me seriously wonder if you know anything about that series. Short answer: Almost certainly not.
Otherwise, this might be good news, I guess. It really depends on whether the new TV series is any good or not. Everything points at it being aimed at a younger audience and much more explicitly toy-oriented than other recent productions, although a new direction is usually at least somewhat of a good thing. I suppose if the series is good this means it game tie-ins might actually be worth playing, at any rate.
Of course, GOOD Gundam games never get released in English, barring acts of god. Case in point: There were two major Gundam games on home consoles this generation: Crossfire and 0081. Crossfire was shit and got released in English, failing miserably. 0081 was fantastic and stayed Japan-exclusive (thank god for the PS3 being region-free). If this does turn out good, everyone interested will probably have to import it (learning Japanese is actually pretty fun and rewarding, so it's not THAT bad...).
