The overworld in any Fallout game. I just love the attention to detail the designers put into making a post-apocalyptic wasteland, yet still make it easy enough to travel through.

Ah, bringing back very good memories, you are...

OT: Probably the Fallout 3 world. My god, it's stunning.

The second level in Halo:CE.

And the levels in Farcry Instincts. Boring game but very pretty scenery.

The world of Fallout 3, as pointless as it was I often found myself wandering aimlessly across the Wasteland discovering new locations and looking at the very pretty environment.

The opening into the Wasteland as you clamber out of the Vault. The sun glaring in your eyes.

It's a memorable first sight I must say.

This of course. The game was practically made for being aweish. (Is that a word? I don't think it is...)

The final area in the Prince of Persia: SoT, right after you get the ultimate sword. It simply had the very essence of epic to it.

Quoted for truth.

And I don't know if it really counts as a level, but any racing game that includes Nurburgring. I don't know many people who wouldn't be awed by tearing around the Ring at 200+mph.

Pretty much most of Half-Life 2.
I second this. The part in Half-Life 1 where you're required to swim down through some murky water infested with crazy sharks was memorable too.

All of Bioshock is stunning, in particular one moment when a Big Daddy walks past the outside of an office window, that was quality. Farcry 2, Crysis, Lost Planet and Oblivion all have many different places that have impressed me too.

I also like the environments on games like Banjo: Nuts and Bolts and Super Mario Galaxy, they're fucking insane. I love that over-the-top fuck realism level design.

When the nuke hits in MW2. I thought it was hands down the best and most atmospheric level in the game.
