Comics version! Keep your Smallvile crap out!
So I'm sitting here reading about the new DC Reboot and a favourite thought of mine popped into my head, I really wish they'd give the hero of the Superman books his own comic. Lex Luthor is the real hero.
Here's a man that wants to improve humanity, sure he's got a bit of an ego and some rage issues, but he fundamentally believes that in order for us to advance we need to deal with crap on our own, the same way a child learning to walk needs to pick himself/herself up after falling down, without mum or dad rushing over and carting the kid around.
Then you've got the villain of the piece, the so-called Super"man", an alien from another world, self-righteously judging humanity like a condensing babysitter as he cleans up our "mess". Never mind he's sitting on enough advanced tech that he could save more live by releasing just one tiny bit of it then with all his flying around, but of course not, he can't give help us in a real meaningful way, that would take away his ability to lord over us; of course he uses the excuse that we're not ready for it, which is total bull, because if he stopped pandering to his ego and started working at it he could make sure the stuff he released was safe for us.
Your opinions on the matter? Who do you prefer Superman or Lex Luthor?
