LG should have just sued the poop out of Sony instead seizing sales. That way LG can leech off Sony's income. LG isn't being evil enough in this situation.
Actually, not owning a console, it would benefit me tremendously if the PS3 tanked. Microsoft would stop trying to compete with them by sabotaging our platform. Devs would also stop shitting around with us if they lose the sales from an entire platform and suddenly PC sales make a large part of their revenues. Also, Atlus might start releasing titles for the PC.Illyasviel said:If you call yourself a gamer, even if you don't identify with the Playstation brand, tell LG to keep their noses out. This three way fight we got going between Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony? Its very, very good, and we, the consumers, benefit the most from it.
He is. Live by lawsuits, die by lawsuits. My LG TV and PS3 still talk to each other, though Good thing the PS3 is in a borg communication inhibition field, considering it sends the TV model to Sony normally.mjc0961 said:I can't help but wonder if GeoHot is enjoying this news considering that Sony did the same thing to a bunch of his stuff.

Excellent analysis. Hear hear.supersilva said:Rofl LG is praying right now, why? If LG lose this case against sony which they will, more than likley, Sony are going to counter sue again for loss of the sales over that 10 day period and LG will basically end up behind again. Its also funny reading all the anti sony comments and wanting the ps3 to tank out. Loseing a competitor is nothing good for ANY industry. The less companys you have the less quality the product is, and also the games. People in small towns or country area's know that for things like cable internet etc If they just have 1 choice that company charges what they want, when you have 3+ companys prices go down or you get More for the same cost.
Aren't you quick to jump to conclusions? Where exactly have I been showing any 'Sony hatred'? Have I been cheering LG at any point?montopolis said:What? Did you just blame low PC game sales on the PS3? Bravo! Sony haters just got another excuse.Raiyan 1.0 said:Actually, not owning a console, it would benefit me tremendously if the PS3 tanked. So yeah
Nah, it's all fine. I do understand that some people tend to be pointlessly antagonistic - it's silly to lay the blame on consoles when it's clearly the publishers and devs shafting the PC. I don't expect the entire console market to make itself, I dunno... disappear to solve this issue - I expect the developers to start giving a damn about our platform again. I guess I didn't get my point across clearly on my first post. And yes, while the console wars don't have any effect on the PC, I guess it does create healthy competition amongst the consoles manufacturers themselves.montopolis said:Oh, its all good dude. I misunderstood, I didn't mean to jump to conclusions. Its just that the way it read to me, it sounded like a new excuse to hate on the PS3. I'm glad you clarified your point for me, it does make sense. I am not a PC gamer and own both consoles, so I benefit most from their competition.
