Which company is bigger? LG won't just go bankrupt over legal fees and neither will Sony but both will lose a ton of cash and a lot of rep.
It's just Blu-Ray. Hell, actually, I think Blu-ray should enter the public domain. It won the format war, it's basically standard, fair use for all damnit. Copyright law is retarded after a year.
