Lichdom Battlemage: Worth A Try?

Desperately in need of a good game to last me a week or two until the new Diablo 3 season starts. Finished my backlog, or at least got bored of most of the games I haven't finished yet.

So...this one worth a try? Someone told me it was Serious Sam meets Skyrim.

I liked it. It made my three year old pc chug like a steamboat, but it plays well.

The magic creation system is fun, even though you can't do anything real with it untill about 3 hours into the game. It let's you combine elements, different ways to cast and effects into a personal spell. So you can pretty much micromanage the way you play to a high degree.

Actually using the magic is simple and you'll get the hang of it pretty fast. It handles well with both a K/M and controller.

The enemies begin to get a bit bland after a couple of hours though, and the story could have done with some more body to it, but i ended up putting about 7-8 hours into it, and i have it set aside for another playthrough sometime soon.
